Terry's Final Run

Terry's final run will be to Lawnswood Crematorium on Thursday 7th November. Many of you will know that Terry planned most of the arrangements, and was keen for this day to be a celebration of his life. As such we want the day to reflect how Terry would approach it:

No formal dress code. Any colour. Wear what you feel comfortable in. Some will prefer to be suited and booted, some smart casual, some wear jeans and for others it may be their favourite running top. Just be yourselves. You are welcome to join us for all or part of the day. Due to timings or commitments, we appreciate that not everyone will be able to attend the service at Lawnswood, which is at 3.40pm (arrive by 3.20 pm). He is loved by many so please don't be disappointed if you don't get a seat.

There is then a celebration from 5pm at the Irish Centre on York Road, where Mel and Terry had their wedding reception. In true Terry style, we hope this will be an uplifting event. Bring your best memories, funny stories and corny jokes. Listen to his favourite music, raise a glass and share in some pizza, cake and of course, his favourite crisps!

It was Terry's wishes that there were no flowers and that donations made were split between Wheatfield's (Sue Ryder) and St. Gemma's Hospices. There will be collections for both on the day or you can donate online through this page. We would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone for their kindness and support. It continues to remind us of how much Terry was loved and gives us reason to smile, at this otherwise difficult time. I hope like us, you are finding moments to laugh and comfort one another; as Terry did for us all, right up to the end. Run with the angels T!
